Search vessel Arctic explorer Sir John Franklin's missing in the northernmost region of Earth 150 years ago archaeologists found Canada.
Ships named HMS Investigator was abandoned in 1853 because of trapped ice while the second mission to find Franklin and his expedition team.
Franklin and all the team members lost while sailing north to Canada in 1845. The mission team was in an effort to find a trade route between the Atlantic and Pacific through the Arctic Ocean or the "Northwest Passage".
Franklin search ships found this week in the shallow waters in the Gulf of Mercy, the sea west of Canada, by a researcher from Parks Canada.
As quoted from the pages of The Daily Telegraph, July 30, 2010 edition, the ship HMS Investigator was one of a number of American and British ships sent to search for the HMS Erebus and HMS Terror, which disappeared in the mission did not succeed Franklin in 1845.

Marc-Andre Bernier, head of Parks Canada's underwater research, said, "The ship is in very good condition. This is a very important discovery. This is a ship that sailed in the final stages of finding the Northwest Passage," said Bernier.
Parks Canada team arrived at Mercy Bay on July 22, and three days later, the ice has melted enough to be used sonar devices. This shipwreck was found within 15 minutes.
According to Bernier, there is no plan to lift the vessel to the surface. The team just hoping to use video devices underwater to take pictures of the ship.
Jim Prentice, Canada's environment minister, said that the British government had learned penemenuan three bodies following the wreck of the sailors who allegedly died because of illness.
